Certificate Award Ceremony for the First Cohort of Volunteers with the Commission under its Youth Volunteering Program

Tuesday 12 August 2025

The National Anti-Corruption Commission organized a ceremony to distribute participation certificates to the volunteers of the Youth Volunteering Program (first cohort), launched by the Commission with the support of the United Nations Development Programme, the European Union, and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark, in recognition of their efforts and work within the Commission.

In his speech, Commission President Judge Claude Karam commended the volunteers for dedicating their time and efforts to successfully supporting activities and tasks across the Commission’s various directorates. He stressed that this experience embodies a spirit of social responsibility while reinforcing the values of cooperation and sense of belonging.

This program is part of the joint efforts of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and the United Nations Development Programme to foster a culture of volunteerism among youth, as volunteer work is considered a cornerstone of community development, given its direct role in supporting national initiatives, encouraging positive youth engagement in public service, and promoting a culture of integrity and anti-corruption.

The ceremony concluded by underscoring the importance of sustaining such volunteer programs for their positive impact on society, whether by empowering youth and honing their skills, supporting the Commission in activating its various directorates, or fostering a sense of active citizenship among them.
