Participation in the Third Arab Forum on Enhancing Transparency and Combating Corruption in the Digital Age held in Cairo

The President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Judge Claude Karam, took part in the Third Arab Forum on Enhancing Transparency and Combating Corruption in the Digital Age, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on October 22 and 23, 2025. The event brought together a distinguished group of heads of commissions, officials, experts, and specialists from various countries.
During the first day of the forum, Judge Karam delivered a speech addressing the impact of digital transformation in Lebanon in light of the relevant laws. He emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise among regional and international bodies in support of institutional development and capacity building efforts.
Judge Karam also tackled the key challenges facing anti-corruption efforts amid rapid legal and technological developments, stressing the need for collective action to develop sustainable solutions that respond to emerging challenges and reinforce transparency and the fight against corruption.
On the following day, the President of the Commission moderated one of the forum’s sessions titled “Smart Governance,” leading an engaging discussion among participants. The session was marked by insightful exchanges and constructive contributions that added depth to the forum’s overarching themes.
As the forum concluded, Judge Karam affirmed that such gatherings serve as an effective platform for exchanging perspectives and experiences, and for strengthening cooperation among various bodies and agencies at both the regional and international levels.
