A Bilateral Exchange between the President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Judge Claude Karam, and Mrs. Alexandra Rogakou, Governor of the National Transparency Authority in Greece.

The President of Lebanon’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), Judge Claude Karam, conducted an official meeting with Mrs. Alexandra Rogakou, Governor of the National Transparency Authority (NTA), as part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against corruption.

Judge Karam was received at the NTA’s central premises, where he held a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Alexandra Rogakou, in the presence of Mr. George Kasaps, the Director of International Relations at the National Transparency Authority.

The meeting took place in Athens, Greece on November 10, 2025 following coordination between both institutions where the latter focused on;

  1. Exchanging experiences and best practices on the declaration of assets, interests and whistleblower protection.
  2. Exploring the possibility of future cooperation between the NACC and the NTA, particularly in institutional development and oversight practices.
  3. Considering the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the NACC and the NTA.

The meeting represents a significant step in enhancing cooperation between Lebanon and Greece in the field of anti-corruption. It reaffirms the NACC’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with national and international stakeholders to promote transparency, accountability, and effective anti-corruption practices.

The NACC expresses its appreciation to the NTA of Greece for its cooperation and warm reception during this official visit.
