Participation of the Lebanese delegation, headed by Judge Karam, in the opening of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption.

Headed by Judge Claude Karam, President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, a Lebanese delegation is participating in the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP 11), held in Doha, State of Qatar, from 15 to 19 December 2025. The conference is attended by delegations and representatives from 190 countries, in addition to a number of international and regional organizations and non-governmental organizations from around the world, most notably the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE) and the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET).

The current session of the conference focuses on assessing  progress in the implementation of the Convention, examining  the challenges encountered, and exploring the role of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in supporting anti-corruption efforts. The conference also serves as a platform to exchange best practices, strengthen international judicial cooperation, and develop innovative approaches to support national anti-corruption strategies, particularly as Lebanon is currently working on developing its second National Anti-Corruption Strategy within the framework of the Ministerial Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam,  and its supporting Technical Committee chaired by Minister of State for Administrative Reform Dr. Fadi Makki,.

In addition to Judge Claude Karam, the Lebanese delegation includes Judge Rana Akkoum representing the Ministry of Justice; Dr. Ali Badran representing the National Anti-Corruption Commission; Mr. Abdel Hafiz Mansour representing the Special Investigation Commission at Banque du Liban; and Ms. Lodi Rahme representing the Ministry of Administrative Reform.
