The Beirut and Tripoli Bar Associations Explore Ways of Cooperation with the National Anti-Corruption Commission

The Presidents of the Beirut and Tripoli Bar Associations, Fadi Masri and Sami Al-Hassan, accompanied by the Chair of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Beirut Bar Association, Lawyer Joseph Nahra, visited the headquarters of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and held a meeting with its President, Judge Claude Karam.
During the meeting, the Bar Association presidents were briefed by Judge Karam on the Commission’s work and emphasized the importance of its role in combating corruption, given its impact on Lebanon’s reputation and investment climate. An agreement was reached to foster cooperation between the Bar Associations and the Commission, leveraging the expertise and resources of the associations as well as the professional experience of lawyers to support the Commission’s mission, reinforcing the national and rights-based role of the Bar Associations.
Later, members of the Commission joined the meeting to continue discussions on mechanisms for future collaboration.
